Local gameplay
You can play without creating an account. Progress, settings, upgrades, equipment, and reward records are stored on your device. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove local progress.
Optional account and cloud saves
For players who declare they are 18 or older, if you create an optional cloud-save account, Google Firebase Authentication processes your email address, password credentials, account identifier, and authentication information. Firebase Cloud Firestore stores the game backups you choose to upload, including gameplay progress, custom loadout names, gem balances, purchase entitlement flags and hashed receipt identifiers, together with backup timestamps and integrity information. The app retains a current backup and a previous backup. Uploading and restoring are manual actions.
We use this information to authenticate you, protect your backups, and provide backup and restore features. Cloud backups remain until replaced or deleted. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your cloud account.
Optional global leaderboards
Eligible adult players with a verified account may view global rankings and choose to rank future online runs. Firebase stores the account identifier, an optional public display name, tier, best wave, server-recorded run start and completion times, period assignments, and abuse-prevention metadata. Other eligible signed-in players can see your display name (or a generated player name), rank, tier and wave, together with a pseudonymous player identifier. Your email address and authentication credentials are not displayed.
Ranked runs must register online at their start. Ordinary offline gameplay is unaffected. Recent run records expire after seven days and are removed asynchronously; best scores and period histories remain until account deletion. Name changes apply when rankings refresh without rewriting old scores. Turning off ranked play stops registration of future runs; it does not erase existing scores. Deleting your account initiates removal of its public scores, display name and run records, including historical periods. Cached rankings may take a short time to refresh.
Diagnostics
For players who declare they are 18 or older, diagnostics are off by default and require an explicit opt-in in Settings. When enabled, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics process gameplay events, app interactions, crash reports, error details, device and operating-system information, app version, and installation identifiers. We use these to identify bugs and improve stability and game balance. You can disable diagnostics in Settings. Disabling future collection does not automatically delete information already submitted.
Our gameplay diagnostic events do not intentionally include your email address, password, or complete save file. Analytics advertising personalization is disabled in the app.
Optional rewarded advertisements
You may choose to watch a Google AdMob advertisement for a displayed in-game reward. Playing does not require watching rewarded ads.
Google's advertising SDK processes information such as IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, device, app-set and applicable account identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. Processing depends on your consent choices, device settings, and applicable regional requirements. The game does not request precise device location. Android advertising-ID and Android AdServices permissions are removed in the current build; this does not prevent collection of other identifiers. Google collects and shares advertising-related information for these purposes.
Where applicable, a consent message lets you accept, decline, or manage advertising choices. You can revisit available choices using Ad privacy choices in Settings. Declining personalization does not necessarily stop all advertising-related processing.
Age and privacy settings
The game asks for an age band, not a date of birth. This choice is stored locally, separately from game saves, and is not included in cloud backups or gameplay analytics. Players under 18, or whose age is unknown, cannot create or use cloud accounts or leaderboards, opt into diagnostics, or make in-app purchases in the current version. Optional rewarded ads use child-directed and under-age treatment with a maximum G ad-content rating. These settings do not mean that ad services collect no data. If you believe a child has provided personal account information, contact us.
Network and website requests
After the age choice, the app requests server time for game timers and refreshes Google's consent information. These requests can occur without choosing a rewarded ad. Our service providers receive ordinary request metadata such as IP address and request time. Opening this website also sends ordinary web-request information to the hosting provider. Core gameplay can be used offline, but avoiding ads or disabling diagnostics does not disable every online request.
Purchases
Where available, eligible adult players may buy consumable gem bundles and permanent milestone passes using Google Play Billing. Google handles payment credentials and checkout. Voltrench does not receive full payment-card or bank-account numbers. The app receives product identifiers, purchase status, quantities, purchase tokens, order metadata and signed receipts to verify and deliver purchases.
Raw receipts and tokens are processed in memory. Hashed receipt identifiers, entitlement flags and gem balances are stored with local progress and included if you manually upload a cloud backup. A local delivery record helps prevent duplicate grants. Google Play's purchasing account is separate from your optional Voltrench cloud account. Permanent passes can be checked against the Play purchasing account; consumed gems cannot be restored from Play purchase history. Restoring an older cloud save replaces local progress and can restore an older balance.
Deleting your Voltrench account does not delete Google's transaction records, issue a refund or cancel a purchase. Google manages its transaction records under its own terms and privacy practices. Contact support for purchase-delivery problems and use Google Play's purchase-support options for refund requests.
Support and service providers
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents and attachments you send. We use these to respond and resolve your request. Do not send passwords.
Google provides our authentication, cloud storage, diagnostics, advertising, and website hosting services. Information may be processed outside your country. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and our services.
See Google's Privacy Policy, Firebase privacy information, and Google advertising information.
Retention and security
Local data remains until removed or replaced on your device. We retain support correspondence as needed to resolve requests and meet legal obligations. Diagnostic and advertising information follows the applicable Google service retention settings and policies.
We use encrypted network connections and account access controls for cloud services. No storage or transmission system is completely secure. Service backup copies may persist temporarily after deletion under the provider's retention processes.
Your choices and deletion
You can play offline, avoid cloud accounts, disable diagnostics, and decline optional rewarded ads. You may also manage advertising identifiers through Android settings.
To delete your cloud account and its game backups, open the cloud-save account controls in the app and choose Delete account and cloud saves. This leaves local game progress intact. Clear the app's storage through Android settings to remove local progress.
You can also request account deletion without reinstalling the app by emailing neonbastion.support@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. Identify Voltrench and the request; do not include your password. We may verify account ownership before acting.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Contact us to make a request. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
Children and policy changes
Cloud accounts, diagnostics and purchases are restricted as described above. Optional ads and essential requests may still process technical data for protected profiles. Contact us with questions about a child’s information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this policy as the game changes. Updates will appear on this page with a revised date.
